A Fairweather Escape

Welcome to the Fairweather bar, a summer oasis right in the heart of downtown San Diego.
The outdoor patio bar will make you feel as although you step inside a bar in Hawaii or the tropical islands.
This is one stop you definitely don't want to miss out on.

Plus, the bar's location is right outside the outfield fence of Petco Park; giving you a view to enjoy while in the company of friends or your loved one. And in case your hungry, the bar is also located right above a deli known as the Rare Form to satisfy that hunger craving you may have while you enjoy a cocktail or two.

Miguel's Cocina

Craving some Mexican Food?
Well your in luck because Miguel's Cocina will provide a taste
of Mexican cuisine San Diego style.

The restaurant captures the ambiance of Mexico flavors
by providing homemade tortillas, fresh salsas and fresh made tortilla chips.
(My favorite is the jalapeno cheese dip...)

Besides the great atmosphere, the menu plan is easy to follow
and provides a good selection of food with great cocktail drinks.
So, here is a quick glimpse of my tasteful experience.
I ordered an Antojito (appetizer) known as the Empanadas Picadillo along with a
Rasberry Mojito and for the main dish El Marco dinner (two enchiladas with beans and rice).

Every bite and sip was delicious!

Happy Clarisonic Mia Days

Skin care around the holidays is extremely important, especially when we love
to wear beautiful rich pigmented colors on the skin.
And I know there are plenty of ladies like myself
that love to sport the red lipstick and wear bold eye shadow looks for the holidays.

Looking and feeling a little extra fabulous during the holidays puts every chika in
a good mood. I mean pampering yourself doesn't come as often as it should.

And we can all agree, after a long day of festivities, we find ourselves in the bathroom as we
roll up our sleeves, put a headband on and turned on the faucet with warm water.
It's time to wash our face to remove all the heavy make up.

But wait, I am excited to share my  beauty smart routine
 that will now include

Tis the season for Clarisonic Mia1 brush!

Las Posadas con Herdez

The Mexican holiday known as the "Las Posadas" is a fun-filled celebration with food, music and family. Although, we are far from our family and friends, we decided this year would be a good opportunity to bring a little Latin flavor into our household with HERDEZ.

Las Posadas is a perfect time to warm up the kitchen with savory flavors and traditional plates. So, I took the initiative to prepare in small portions my version of healthy Red pork tamales, chicken enchilidas, rice, beans along with chips and HERDEZ green salsa.

The Nutcracker

We all want to get into the spirit of the holiday season, so instead of watching holiday movie reruns; step away from the television set and into the Nutcracker ballet show at
the San Diego Civic Theater.

The ballet is a two act show orchestrated with the Classics Phillharmonic Orchestra. A performance that unfolds a riddle with their classic formula of horns, zoots and ballerinas with a dose of Sugar plum fairy sprinkled in for good measure.

The musical numbers produce by the California Ballet Company are light and, for the most part, short, sweet and whimsical. The show was filled with beautiful sets, costumes and simultaneous movements that kept your eyes entertained, but most of all delighted.

After the show or sometime during intermission you may enjoy a hot cup of coffee with some cookies and browse at all the beautiful and unique one of kind nutcrackers and/or ornaments for sale.

Pet Photo Night

Many pet owners view their pet as an integral member of the family and are just as committed in caring for their pets as their "human" family members. And that's exactly how my husband and I feel about our rescue dog "Jordan."

While we were missing our family dogs back in California, we thought we filled the void by donating our time at the Palm Valley Animal Center to spend quality time with dogs who were waiting to be adopted. And it so happens that we ended up adopting and rescuing a dog who we just couldn't stop thinking about.

It's now been two years since our adoption and we wanted to make this year's Christmas a little extra special for Jordan, so a portrait with Santa was perfect little holiday cheer.

A day in Los Angeles

It's no secret that WAG was in town last weekend in LA at studio 1342.
And I have to admit; I immediately fell in love with the outdoor
space this location had to offer.
This hidden gem was truly a great venue with lots of great perks.

Centrally located in La Brea just north of Pico Blvd studio 1342 provides a beautiful, but unique escape making you feel as although you never stepped a foot into the busy streets of LA.

Outfit of the day was a simple 70's look with a simple half ponytail with smooth
wavy curls.

TJ Oyster Bar: The Seafood Place

The weekend is here and your sitting there thinking to yourself
I am in the mood for a little taste of Baja. And
most people would say,"why don't you just go to TJ!"
That sounds like a great idea, but do you want to cross the border
every time you have a craving? absolutely not....

But don't be discourage, my husband
I found a perfect place that will satisfied that
that seafood craving.

The TJ Oyster Bar is located here in San Diego
and it's Menu will give you a Taste of Baja with every bite.
A few of our favorite items we often like to order is the grilled fish burrito along
Tuna fries. These two items will have you coming back for more.
