When things get too stressful in your life, it's time to plan for a getaway. And a perfect spot for
downtime with a little wine and conversation is at the Guadalupe de Valle. The Valle's country life is northeast of Ensenada and at the forefront of the Baja wine movement.

On this trip my husband along with our close friends chose to go to the Rey de 3 winery. This location is a one of many great winery's in Esenada and the staff caterers to the guest as if they were family. The selection of red and white wine are delicious as well as their food.

Come take a little online cruise with me and see the winery from my perspective.

The menu is simple and straight to the point, but in Spanish only, but the staff does a wonderful job in translating the menu. I recommend getting the cheese board with some appetizers like the Ahi Tuna and Tostaditos all while ejoying some wine.

For the main meal, my husband chose the Ribeye en costra de cafe
y polvo de chiles, estofado de lengua, salsa de papa negra ye pure de camotes.

and I order the Terrina de Lechon con mole almendrado y vegetales rostizados.

And to end of a delightful evening we closed it with a healthy postre.

All in all the experience was amazing and relaxing. The owner along with his staff made us feel welcomed from the begining and the chefs did a phenomal job on the food. Thank you chefs Estavan Ramirez, Javier Contreras and Ricardo Perez for you culinary hospitality.
